It seems that the real estate market in North Fulton County is coming back!  Not real strong yet, but it seems to be making progress.  It's my opinion that there is a lot of built up desire for purchasing real estate and that several different conditions are coming together to get people off the fence.  There is mortgage money available, at GREAT RATES.  The $8000 federal income tax credit is also a great tool, especially since this one doesn't have to be paid back.  There is a large quantity of homes available at great prices.  And not all of them are foreclosures!  There are really some good buys to be found.  I'm working with several investors and first time home buyers that are pretty happy with the deals that we're finding.  If you have money or access to money by means of a mortgage loan, this is the best time to buy in several years.  As the market improves, home values and prices will begin to creep higher.  That's not going to happen very quickly, but my point is that if you're thinking about buying a home and your job is secure, then you need to get off the fence and go for it!  Things aren't going to get any worse.  Now's the time to speak to a mortgage lender and a real estate agent.  Check out the information available on my web site and start asking questions.  I'd be glad to answer any of your questions and help you get started.  I also have a great lender who is here for the long term.
